Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about ServiceKit before you buy.
What's included in the $349? ▼
Full source code (private repo fork), deploy guide (Hetzner VPS), 19 AI-building lessons, lifetime access to the source repo for updates.
Do I need technical experience? ▼
No. Module A is a step-by-step deploy guide — follow it and you'll have a running app. Module B teaches you how it works using AI. You don't need to write code yourself.
How long does deployment take? ▼
About 1.5 to 2.5 hours once repo access is granted and your accounts are ready. The deploy guide walks through every command.
What hosting do I need? ▼
A Hetzner VPS (CX43, ~€14/month). The deploy guide covers setup from scratch. No prior server experience needed.
What does it cost to run monthly? ▼
Hetzner CX43 (~€14/mo) + API costs: Stripe (transaction fees, no monthly fee), Resend (free tier to start), Anthropic Claude (usage-based, typically cents per AI quote). Under €30/month for most small operations.
Is the $349 refundable? ▼
Yes, within 7 days of purchase, if you haven't forked the repo.
What happens if I need help? ▼
The deploy guide covers the most common setup issues. The Build with AI lessons include detailed explanations. Community support coming soon.
Can I customize the app? ▼
Yes. You own the source code. Fork it, change anything, deploy your version.
What if ServiceKit releases updates? ▼
Updates are pull-based — you pull from the source repo on your own schedule. You're never forced to update.
Is this really one price? ▼
Yes. $349 once. No seat fees, no monthly subscription, no feature tiers.
What database does it use? ▼
Self-hosted PostgreSQL. ServiceKit runs on your own server, and the deploy guide walks you through setting up the full stack without a Supabase dependency.
Does it work on mobile? ▼
Yes. ServiceKit is a Progressive Web App (PWA). Install it from any iOS or Android browser — no App Store required.
What AI features are included? ▼
AI-powered quoting, AI-drafted client messages, review reply suggestions, and an optional AI receptionist. The receptionist is a post-deploy add-on: first get the base app live, then complete certification and activation. SMS acknowledgement only turns on after A2P 10DLC carrier approval.
What payment processing does it use? ▼
Stripe. You set up your own Stripe account — payments go directly to you.
What's coming in future releases? ▼
Customer-facing portal, QuickBooks/Xero sync, and parts and inventory tracking. No ETA, these are roadmap items, not commitments. SMS acknowledgement and route optimization are already supported. SMS is gated behind A2P 10DLC carrier approval. Route optimization is available in the Schedule page with Google Maps integration.
